Finance::Nadex Installation is straightforward as outlined in the INSTALLATION section of this document. Use this module to login to the North American Derivatives Exchange, send orders to the exchange, check the account balance, get price quotes, get information about currently available contracts, and check on open positions. It isn't clear whether the use of this module to access your Nadex account runs afoul of any Nadex Member Rules. I don't believe it does. However, the exchange itself is the ultimate arbiter of the meaning of member rules. So, use at your own risk. This module does not (yet) support streaming quotes. It can be used to continuously fetch quotes from the exchange, however, using it in that way will likely raise eyebrows at the exchange and possibly get your account deactivated. So, don't do that. You have been warned. A future version of the module may support streaming quotes. Be aware that this module represents a very sharp knife which can be used improperly. Since there is real money at stake when automating trades, test your client code thoroughly. One way to do that is to create orders at price levels that will never get filled. For example, if you create an order to buy a binary contract at $1, the chances of that order being filled is essentially zero. Similarly, if you sell a binary at $99, the chances of the order being filled is once again essentially zero. By creating such orders that will never be filled, you can test the key part of your code which is the logic of when to send orders to the exchange based on your algorithm without having to spend any actual money. Here's a sample of code that could be used to submit an order to buy 5 GBP/USD > 1.5020 (3PM) contracts at a price of $34.50: use Finance::Nadex; # connects to the LIVE (real-money) platform by default; # as an alternative, to connect to the DEMO (virtual money) platform, # specify it in the call to new like this: # my $client = Finance::Nadex->new(platform => 'demo'); my $client = Finance::Nadex->new; # must login before using any other methods provided by the module $client->login(username => 'yourusername', password => 'yourpassword'); # get the unique identifier for the contract to be bought my $epic = $client->get_epic( instrument => 'GBP/USD', type => 'binary', period => 'Daily', time => '3pm', strike => '1.5020' ); # send the order to the exchange my $order_id = $client->create_order( epic => $epic, size => 5, direction => 'buy', price => 34.50 ); # get information about the newly created order; note that this # call may fail if the order is no longer an order; in other words, # the order could get filled immediately, in which case, there is no # longer an order but rather an open position my $order = $client->retrieve_order( order_id => $order_id ); # display some key facts about the pending order (if it is still pending) print join(" ", $order->order_id, $order->direction, $order->size, $order->contract, $order->price), "\n"; INSTALLATION To install this module, run the following commands: perl Makefile.PL make make test make install SUPPORT AND DOCUMENTATION After installing, you can find documentation for this module with the perldoc command. perldoc Finance::Nadex It will also be useful to review the documentation for the following modules using perldoc. perldoc Nadex::Order perldoc Nadex::Position perldoc Nadex::Contract You can also look for information at: RT, CPAN's request tracker (report bugs here) http://rt.cpan.org/NoAuth/Bugs.html?Dist=Finance-Nadex AnnoCPAN, Annotated CPAN documentation http://annocpan.org/dist/Finance-Nadex CPAN Ratings http://cpanratings.perl.org/d/Finance::Nadex Search CPAN http://search.cpan.org/dist/Finance-Nadex LICENSE AND COPYRIGHT Copyright (C) 2015 mhandisi This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the the Artistic License (2.0).
