Euro currency symbols in KDE and the console:
=============================================

To get Euro symbols:

1) Change your keymap to Finnish. You'll see "FI" appear in the Panel
at the bottom right of the screen when this is so.

2) Use the following key combinations to produce Euro symbols in these
applications.  If you don't have an AltGr key on your keyboard (e.g.
most English keyboards), try using the right-hand Alt key instead.

KDE applications:       Euro sign: Shift + 4
                        Euro cent: AltGr + E

Mozilla, SOT office:    Euro sign: AltGr + E
                        Euro cent: Shift + AltGr + E

Exceptions:  There is no Euro cent symbol inside the console, and no
Euro symbols are available in the KDE Konsole application.

Notebooks
=========

If you are installing on a notebook with a detachable floppy
drive, to avoid problems please ensure the drive is connected during the
installation of SOT Linux.

KDE language settings
=====================

Sometimes changing the desktop's language settings from KDE's Control
Center isn't completely successful.  To work around this, wait 2-3
minutes after changing your locale settings before logging out.  When
you log back in, your menus should be in your newly-chosen language.
