INSTALLING EMISSARY 2.0

Welcome to Attachmate Emissary, the Power Desktop for the Internet. 
Emissary brings the Internet, your corporate network, and your PC 
together--all in one window, all in one interface. And it's all as easy as 
point and click, and drag and drop!

We've provided many ways to help you get the most out of Emissary. Refer to 
the Emissary User Guide for extensive and easy-to-read advice on 
discovering the power of Emissary. Emissary also features user tips that 
appear at startup. And of course, Emissary includes context-sensitive 
online help for convenient assistance on the run.

Thank you for your purchase, and we hope you enjoy Emissary--the exciting 
new way to explore the Internet! 


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Insert Disk 1 in your floppy disk drive (for example, drive C:).

2. Double click on setup.exe. 

3. Continue inserting disks as prompted by the installation program.


SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

o Windows 3.x, Windows 95, or Windows NT 3.5 and 3.51

o An IBM PC 80486 or higher 

o 8MB of RAM 

o WinSock v1.1-compliant TCP/IP stack. Attachmate makes a high-performance 
  TCP/IP stack (called Runtime) for the Windows 3.x and Windows 95 
  environments. Please contact your Attachmate sales representative for 
  details.

Word Viewer and Shockwave for Director 4.0.  (Note: Emissary 2.0 currently 
only supports version 4.0 of  Shockwave for Director.)

MOVING ON . . .

Emissary 2.0 is packaged with comprehensive on-line help and user tips. 
Help is available from within dialog boxes, from the bottom of selected 
right-click menus, and from the Help menu at the top of the Emissary 
window. 

The tips normally appear at Emissary startup. You can also read them by 
selecting Emissary Tips from the Help menu.
 
Also available is a printed 200+ page Emissary User Guide.
