          WinLPR 2.0, a Windows Sockets based LPR client for
                        Microsoft Windows 3.1

WinLPR 2.0 allows you to send files to remote printers that are driven by a
Line Printer Daemon (LPD, which typically runs on UNIX servers), to query
the status of remote printer queues, and to remove jobs from those.
 
Key Features of WinLPR 2.0 are:
================================

o	WinLPR 2.0 uses the same Protocol DLLs as our Windows LPR Spooler 4.x
	(which allows transparent printing from Windows applications to LPR/LPD
	based network printers). This means that actually not only the LPR
	protocol can be used to access network printers, but also other
	protocols for which an appropriate Protocol DLL exists.
o	WinLPR 2.0 allows drag and drop printing by selecting one ore more
	files in File Manager and dropping them onto the WinLPR window or icon.
o	WinLPR 2.0 can be used to send print files from within a program by
	specifying print server, queue, and files to print on the command line.
o	Within WinLPR 2.0 you can maintain a list of printer servers and queues
	for quick selection of the destiniation for a print job. 
o	WinLPR 2.0 has an AutoQuery feature: It can automatically redisplay the
	status of a remote queue every <n> seconds (with <n> being user-
	definable).

o    Microsoft Windows 3.1
o    A Protocol DLL like the included WLPR2.DLL.
o    Networking software that offers a Windows Sockets 1.1 DLL if the included
     WLPR2.DLL is used as Protocol DLL (that's the normal case for printing
     to LPR/LPD (RFC 1179) based printers).
