- Description:
The data movement services of gLite are responsible to securely transfer
files between Grid sites. The transfer is performed always between two
gLite Storage Elements having the same transfer protocol available to
them (usually gsiftp). The data movement services are: The global Data
Scheduler (DS), the File Transfer Service (FTS) and the File Placement
Service (FPS).
This package provides the File Transfer Service, which runs in Tomcat
and uses Oracle as the database backend.
